This interdisciplinary program is rooted in business intelligence concepts and tools, while giving you the flexibility to add electives that match your interests. You’ll learn from faculty members from both the Boler College of Business and academic departments across the University.

Program Overview & Outcomes

This interdisciplinary minor prepares students of all majors to help make data-driven decisions that support business goals. Throughout your courses, you’ll learn the skills and techniques that can help you gain valuable organizational insights, such as identifying trends, tracking key performance indicators, forecasting sales, and analyzing company finances.

Program learning goals include:

• Data Acquisition: Accurately identify and access data sources and structures to retrieve and prepare data for analysis.
• Analytics Techniques: Apply predictive and prescriptive analytics techniques to business data and problems.
• Summarization/Visualization: Effectively describe and visualize business data using analytics and business intelligence tools.
• Reporting/Communication: Ethically interpret and communicate the results of data analysis.
